A tattoo artist — who already is charged with sexually touching two
female clients while giving them tattoos — was held Monday in the
Morris County jail on $50,000 bail, now charged with breaking into The
Tattoo Factory in Roxbury two weeks
ago and stealing more than $200.

Stockholm resident Jeffrey Dekmar, 35, was charged by Roxbury police on
Sunday with breaking into his former place of employment on May 14 and
taking more than $200, according to a police complaint.

Dekmar, a father of two, was out of jail on $175,000 bail at the time of the alleged burglary and theft.

Dekmar was first accused in February of sexually assaulting a client at
the Ledgewood tattoo parlor while inking a Hebrew prayer on the
23-year-old woman’s upper thigh on Feb. 21. Shortly after he was
arrested on that sexual assault
allegation, he was served with a
second complaint that stated he rubbed his genitals against another
woman’s genitals, without her consent, at The Tattoo Factory on Feb. 21.

The patron who wanted the prayer inked on her skin has alleged that she
refused Dekmar’s request that she remove her underpants, but that he
tugged them down, digitally penetrated her, and then said, “My bad,”
according to an arrest complaint.

Dekmar had worked for The
Tattoo Factory for about 17 years. Co-owner Maryann White, who
previously described Dekmar as a responsible employee, said Monday that
she suspected Dekmar was the person who broke into the business on May
14.
